臺灣作家吳明益今年以《單車失竊記》入圍英國「曼布克國際獎」，為第一部臺灣長篇小說入選此一國際文學大獎，吳明益也將受邀出席8月份的愛丁堡國際圖書節活動！

駐英國代表處文化組特別邀請吳明益老師也前來倫敦，於8月17日下午2:30在National Liberal Club與劍橋大學歷史教授、著有《拉麵的驚奇之旅》（Slurp! A social and culinary history of ramen-Japan’s favorite noodle soup) 的顧若鵬教授（Barak Kushner)對談，將和讀者們一起用文學探索臺灣、日本的文化及歷史軸線。

活動後，將在現場舉行簽書會及交流茶會。
